Pita Pit is delicious, but that's common across all Pita Pits. At lunch on a Saturday, there were 2 workers on staff- leaving 1 cashier and 1 prep cook. I waited 30 minutes for my Pita due to the understaffing. I observed 60+ customers queue up behind me between the time I got in line and when I left after eating. Two workers is simply not enough to level load a busy and otherwise successful operation - staff up - it's unfair to your workers who were, given the situation they were placed in, coping well and delivering courteous service.

So, I'm a fan of Pita Pit. I like the customization. I like the speed. I like the idea of fresh...(although who really knows for sure other than the people who work there). The staff is friendly. The food is tasty. Service is fast. Here's the thing though... I happen to work at Rollins College. Sadly, no more free drink and no more 10% discount with an R-Card. You can get free delivery to campus...but my office isn't on campus. So, I'm wondering, what's the real perk for me to go to Pita Pit when I could go to Burger Fi or fifty other restaurants on my side of Fairbanks?

This is a great spot for that quick "healthy-yet-not-so-healthy" lunch that you're craving but you're tired of going to Subway! They offer really delicious tasting falafel and whole wheat pitas, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. They also have a lot more veggies and topping options than say Subway. They're fire roasted hummus is a must on any pita that you order, it's so good. Their veggie selection is great, I love the fact that they offer alfalfa sprouts, it's not every day you see those on the menu. They also make it very easy to know what sauces are and aren't vegan, as they have a chart that helps. However, if you aren't entirely sure, or you'd like to double check, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable of the product that they'll for sure help you out. I really love eating here, every time I come I bring someone with me and they ask when can we come back. Keep up the great work, guys.

Pita Pit is a great place if you need a quick, relatively healthy lunch. There is a wide range of stuff on the menu for meat eaters and vegetarians. I'm particularly fond of the falafel, although I usually skip the extra $ for the hummus. One of the things I love about this place is that I can customize my pita to my heart's content - you order the basic pita, and then go along a salad bar type of setup filled with ingredients. You tell them what you want, and they stuff it all into your wrap. There are plenty of sauces and cheeses to choose from if you want to make your pita a little naughty. The atmosphere is very "college town dive", but they keep the place clean and the food fresh. If you're a hippy type, you'll walk in a feel right at home. If you're more conservative, don't be intimidated by the heavily inked and pierced people behind the counter; they do a good job of making everyone feel welcome and stuffed full of pit-tastic goodness.

Pita Pit is an old stand by favorite from my FSU days. Happy to have found this place in Orlando. I really like a late night option that is not covered in grease and going to make me feel guilty the next day. I always get some variation of a gyro with feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and tzaiki sauce. Pretty consistently a good place to go.

It's 1:30 am and my nephew wants to show me a cool Pita place. At 1:30 am. So off we go. The menu has numerous offerings. I never thought there were many ways to stuff a pita, but they have. I went with the Steak Fajita pita. They cooked up the meat at the time order and it was fresh, spiced well, and juicy. The added cheese mix and sour cream topped off the flavor mix. The pita bread...this was the crown jewel. It was firm enough to hold the innards of the meat, veggies, cheese, and sauce, but oh so soft and fresh. It really stood out. I want another one...doesn't even have to have anything in it. That pita bread could easy be enjoyed as a standalone snack. It's that good! Late night staff was away, attentive, and offered up some good suggestions on how to put a good pita together. Kudos to them for the suggestions. Bottom Line: Hip environment, Plenty of menu options, meat cooked fresh to order, pita bread fresh and soft, and knowledgeable staff. I'll be back!

Generous portions. They stuff all the ingredients you select knowing everyone wants the most for their money. Good service friendly staff. Maxed your pay by adding as much ingredients as you want. I recommend the Philly cheese steak with mushrooms sautéed together instead of raw. They offer brown pita for the healthy side of you. Perfect for lunch or a late night craving with its late hour. Quick service.

Solid lunch or late night choice! This location is always super clean which is a plus as always. I am addicted to the chicken w/ cheddar. I always get x-tra cheddar and you have to request if you want the cheese melted but they will throw some on the grill for you. The honey mustard is where it's at. Love the sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes and onions - yum!

Overall I would have passed it up if I had known it was going to be like this. Food was underwhelming and OVER-priced. Gyro pita was so so. They charge an extra $1 if you want hummus on your pita! Really? At a place serving Greek food? Side of pita with hummus was almost $3; the pita was not warmed up and the hummus was very bland. Guys behind the counter seemed nice though. Would not come back or recommend it to people.

So I'm not a fan of reviewing "chain" places because, its generally the same experience every time you go to one. The food is always generally good, I have no real complaints with this. HOWEVER, I will be mainly talking about this specific location in general. I had gone to a place for wine down in park ave, kind of fancy area etc. Then, I get to this pita pit and it looks...for lack of better words, completely run down. Now, it wasn't dirty but, it just looked so old and unwelcoming. Also, their soda machines had 2-3 out of order signs on different ones. For being in a nicer area I'd have expected it to not look like it's been there for 30yrs with no work done on it. Also, although I do enjoy rap music I really don't think "Big Poppa" is appropriate music for a place like this. It felt very....unwelcoming. I can not emphasize this enough, decor is a major part of making me want to come back to a place. It doesn't have to be the "creme de la creme" of places but, I was uncomfortable eating there and felt like this wasn't what Pita Pit should be which is a fast service health conscious affordable place. So....yeah, probably won't return to this specific location anytime soon but, still decently good food for what you're paying for.

I love this place! The food is awesome and prepared right in front of you with fresh ingredients.Sign up online for their mailing list for great deals! The only downside to this location is that it doesn't have a parking lot. They have two spaces in the back but when it's late and dark I don't feel safe coming from back there. I really have a hard time finding somewhere to park when I go here. Other than that the food is good and healthy. Cool.

Seems like the more tattoos the staff has, the better your lunch. Great options, great food, excellent ability to customize the pita the way YOU want it. Want extra meat? Do it. Want extra bacon? Done. Hankering for some sprouts to go with that Philly Pita? BOOM. Always been a big fan of Pita Pit, and whether it's Downtown or Winter Park, it's always good. My only drawback is the parking (not a lot of it, and it's a QUICK turn off Fairbanks) and the bathroom is a little iffy. Seriously though, this place rocks.

I expected really fresh and healthy food. I ordered a their chicken caesar salad. Unfortunately my romaine lettuce that I got seemed like it was a couple days old, (you know how it gets red on the outer edges), and they drenched it with their dressing (nothing healthy about that). Definitely get the dressing on the side! They also heat up their chicken on the grill. I don't see the point, it still tasted cold when I got to start eating it. I didn't even bother to finish, I was pretty put off from the lettuce. Probably won't be back here anytime soon.

Excellent late night option in the area. You can make any type of combinations in a pita. The place is clean and the staff is nice.

Pita Pit is solid. I used to think of Pita Pit as the 3:00AM drunk/munchies kind of place because of how much we used to eat it back in college, but now I like eating it sober, in the middle of the day. I think Pita Pit is great for lunch or a light snack. They have really healthy options and fresh ingredients you can add to build your own custom pita sandwich. This particular location is great. Right in the middle of Winter Park between Rollins and Park Ave. I'm sure some of the students over there still like to come in pretty late or the next day when they are hung over, but it's also great for the local business men and women that need a quick, healthy meal. The staff members are very nice and they keep the dining area and kitchen clean. The have Otis Spunkmeyer cookies which kind of offset the healthy pita, but they are delicious. All in all, Pita Pit is cool and we are definitely fans.

I went here with a few friends the other night and was thoroughly pleased with both the service and the quality of the food. I would recommend this place and will probably be back in the future.

This place makes my stomach happy. This is the perfect spot for a lunch all the way up through dinner and late night munchies. The food is amazing. It's prepared right in front of you and they only add the toppings you want. The menu is very creative and pretty well priced. Lunch will cost you around 5 or 6 bucks a person. I personally get the buffalo chicken with a little ranch. It's amazing. Now this review holds true for all their locations. I have been to this one as well as the one on Orange ave and Alafaya by UCF. They are all amazing. The people always have a good attitude and the food is done right every time. The portion sizes are perfect, especially if you have an angry appetite like mine.

Don't order a gyro. The meat is pre cut. They saute it to warm it up. Staff is great. PIta's are excellent with lots of choices for add ons. My wife had a salad and liked it. I like the one in Gainesville. I need to order something else the next time.
